My kiddos are 2 yrs (twins). Its a perfect size for their little hands and aside from creativity, it helps with dexterity and coordination. The education aspect of it was a surprise... as I use it to draw images for them (like shapes & animals) and they take much more interest than if I were just showing them pictures in a book. They love to take the pen and try and mock my lines. They also love hearing explanations about the things that Ive drawn. So... great, durable toy.
