First, shame on me for not reading the complete description. I did not realize this was a paint-your-own bank. I thought I was buying a polka dot design. The brush and paints were very poor quality, not easy for a young child to use. I had to trim the brush and pick some bristles out of the paint. As a previous review states, the paint colors are not the colors shown on the package. I will use my own varnish as well because one small pot will not cover the entire bank. I was looking for a kids craft my daughter could actually use and was happy with the Gemz Cap. The kit was easy to complete and she was able to most of it on her own. I was worried the gemz would fall off easily, but so far they have stayed secure.

The hat is a bit snug. There is a small piece of elastic in the back, but it still is a tight fit. My daughter is four, and she has a hard time getting the hat on herself. I have to stretch open the elastic part of the band and wiggle it on her head.

My daughter needed this for a school project and I build full scale engines for a living. This was fun....BUT not for an EIGHT YEAR OLD to do! Predrilling many holes and tapping the casting for the screws was time consuming(really help overall quality). Using a hardened tip phillips screwdriver is A MUST! Also, using different types of lubricants really helped. Leave out the head gasket and you can see the funtioning motor much better, better lighting too.
Camshaft and rocker illustrations and the assembly directions don't agree. (I also write some auto-tech literature). Obviously written by someone who is non automotive technical.

Great for a cristmas, birthday, or other gift! Great quality and entertainment factor,along with the eductional factor, is super high! I love this thing. Painting it was really fun, even though the castle was pretty much gray, and the dragon was green. BUT, however i did make my whole garden thing have a silver/purple "theme". I got it on x-mas and today my grass is 1 inch long on most seedlings. I planted the seeds, then watered, then(like most people) expected the GRASS to shoot right up and grow quick. woah was i wrong. normal grass is very quick growing and i though this was normal grass.. well normal for a twelve year old.This grass happends to be wheat grass! The grass seeds given have the apperance of small corn kernalls(how do you spell that dang word?). You water.. you water... you wait a week.. wait another week.. then, in the middle of thinking you did something wrong, the tiniest little green thing is barely showing though the dirt. You fall asleep and wake up the next morning.. 20 green grass blades are bout three cenemeters tall and looking like they have been there for days, maybe a week! Point is, the grass is tricky. With the basil though... same amount of time( i set this up on christmas day) one tiny seed has sprouted, but i don't have much expectations for the basil anyway, so it can do what it likes! Before the grass was sprouting, as soon as i found out it was wheat grass, i went online as found out wheat grass is just very high quality grass.(in the plant world.) I ,gardener exdorninaire,was suprized i did not know this. Anywho,.. This garden is great! It fit in very nicely with my other gardening gifts, a chia frog(fav animal), and a galactic garden.(cool grow-in-gel plant thing). Be aware, i am a very patient pre-teen(12), but this "toy" was apparently made for "younger" "kids"(silly right?) and i would make sure if giving it to a kid make sure they have a ounce of patience in them. other than that, they will love it! I bought these for my twenty-two month cousin after he laid absolute waste to a 96-pack of regular crayons that I had lying about.

The first time I handed them to him, I noticed a definite improvement in his control and grip of the crayons. He never had actual difficulties with regular size crayons, but it was definitely easier for his toddler hands to grip these. So even if your under four year old seems to be doing well with regular crayons, it's worth buying a pack to see if there's a surprising improvement.

It's a pretty standard palette of primary and secondary colours, plus black.

Attempts to colour his clothes and himself have failed utterly, thankfully. He occasionally has coloured the floor tile or the kitchen table but it removed easily with a slight scuffing from a socked foot or a shirt sleeve over a hand. The one time he got to the wall, a quick scuff withMr. Clean Magic Eraser - 10-Count got it to come right off. So I'm not entirely sure you even need the washables.

All in all, these crayons aren't invincible - they will break, and probably quicker than you like. Not as quickly as the regular crayons, but I'm still sad to see them reduced to stubs.

Everyone loves Play-Doh, and I mean EVERYONE! I had fun with this, my husband did, the grandparents, and my toddler also, whom was the intended recipient of this set. It's a great set with lots of tubs and toys for everyone to play with. My 2.5 year old is getting creative with it, pretending to make cars, choo-choo's and even spaghetti with it.
