I bought these for my twenty-two month cousin after he laid absolute waste to a 96-pack of regular crayons that I had lying about.
The first time I handed them to him, I noticed a definite improvement in his control and grip of the crayons. He never had actual difficulties with regular size crayons, but it was definitely easier for his toddler hands to grip these. So even if your under four year old seems to be doing well with regular crayons, it's worth buying a pack to see if there's a surprising improvement.
It's a pretty standard palette of primary and secondary colours, plus black.
Attempts to colour his clothes and himself have failed utterly, thankfully. He occasionally has coloured the floor tile or the kitchen table but it removed easily with a slight scuffing from a socked foot or a shirt sleeve over a hand. The one time he got to the wall, a quick scuff withMr. Clean Magic Eraser - 10-Count got it to come right off. So I'm not entirely sure you even need the washables.
All in all, these crayons aren't invincible - they will break, and probably quicker than you like. Not as quickly as the regular crayons, but I'm still sad to see them reduced to stubs.
But hey, for the price and happiness I got - it's a must for any toddler art set.Get more detail about Crayola 8ct Large Crayons Lift Lid Box.
