I bought this product for my son (he's 6) over the summer through a different website and I just bought another one as a Christmas gift for a niece. It was educational because he helped me mix the base mix and then was able to make a creative design of his own which he loved. Later he gave the stone as a special gift to my mother who loves to garden. Very special gift for an artistic child. As for the other review here... There are so many products out there the are known to cause cancer in the state of California (tableware, makeup, power tools) its actually quite humorous look up proposition 65 if you are really concerned with it. As with many art projects its important to watch your children and help them with mixing chemicals, make it a project you do together.
