These used to be great. I purchased my original package a couple of years ago and really liked these. Upon repurchasing in 4/10, I found the formula changed. The pencils are much softer (almost like crayon) and wear out quickly. I think Crayola did this to make the pencils more erasable.
The biggest problem though is that these pencils break way too easily. The thing that holds the colored pencil in the plastic case simply breaks causing the entire 5" length of colored pencil to slide right out of the plastic twistable case. Unfortunately, once that happens the pencil can't be fixed and has to be thrown out.
My advice: stick with the traditional colored pencils and spend your money on a good quality battery operated or electric pencil sharpener instead.Get more detail about Crayola 30ct Twistables Colored Pencils.
