This isn't the best one out there. It doesn't come with the magnetic shapes that I've seen others come with. These not only add to the fun but are easier for younger kids to use then the pen. Also, perhaps it was just mine but there it a small section that doesn't seem to work (no magnetic particles stick to it) and a few places where the magnetic particles don't get erased.
