I saw these online when looking for Christmas presents for my 6 yo son. I remembered them from when I was a kid and they are just as much fun now as they were back then! We spent quality time together coloring them and watching them shrink in our toaster oven...only takes a minute or so. Buying Play - Doh Martian Matter Alien Lab Playset

My kids had the spaceship version a year ago. On my son's 6th birthday, he remembered playing this toy and this toy is what he wanted the most. This is the third set we bought. His 4-yr-old sister also love playing with him with this toy. Out of all the Alien Makers' kit, this is the most inexpensive that is a complete kit and not a refill.

This is one fun cool CREATIVE toy. This toy is not cheaply made but made of sturdy thick plastic. It has a plastic knife for dissecting and a plastic tweezer. In the middle is a small light table where you can place the aliens for examination; which explains why you need a battery. (You don't need the batteries to create the aliens, just strictly for lights and effects!)

You create the molds by pressing the aliens into the Meteor Mud (seems like a regular play-doh). Then you pour the Lunar lava into the mold. They love to combine colors to create colorful aliens. It will take around 5 minutes for the lunar lava to solidify into a gel. Make sure to cover the mold with a flat Meteor Mud or it will not set properly. No heat needed to set. Since the mold is made up of play-doh like material, it is very easy to remove the aliens. The stuff are non-toxic. Each bottle of lunar lava is 2 oz. There are 2 bottles included and you can makes a lot of aliens with them. This is a pretty nice gift for kids 5 years and above.

while Crayola have been my favorite art products since I was little, and even now Crayola crayons are the only crayons I will buy, I do not actually own these markers, nor can I. It's too bad. While I am an adult, I still love to color, but won't be buying Crayola markers anymore for the forseeable future. Why? Well, someone at Crayola decided that not only would it be a great idea to make Silly Scents and put them in the 20 and 50-packs of markers, but that packs with Silly Scents would be the only ones carried in the stores. This is a problem. I am extremely sensitive to chemical scents. I used to get sick in school when we had to color with the "wonderful" scented markers the teachers had, and to this day I literally throw up and get headaches if I'm in a small room with regular dry-erase markers. As a parent I would say the following- this set came with a good choice of fabrics, trims and items needed to create a number of different fashion pieces. The one slight negative (and remember this comes from an adult's perspective) is the dress form's stability. It does tip over when you are working on it if you are not holding it steady. This is a result of a the small 3 pronged base. The actual dress form is not a Barbie-type body shape, but to be truthful that doesn't bother me at all and probably more appropriate for the age group that will be using this. It is soft enough for the pins to be inserted easily. It is a nice looking dress form so it is cute displayed on a desk or shelf also. From my perspective this set is great.
